Currently, heart failure HF ; of all the cardiovascular diseases is a major public health problem. Beta-blockers have been described as capable of reducing cardiovascular mortality after episodes of acute myocardial infarction AMI ; 3, particularly reducing the incidence of fatal arrhythmias. The behavior of the QT dispersion in patients with HF using beta-blockers, however, has not yet been elucidated.
